Download Frescobaldi

You can download the Frescobaldi source package from its GoogleCode project page.

On the Links page, you can find links to packaged releases of Frescobaldi for specific operating system versions.

KDE 4.2 or higher is recommended to run Frescobaldi. To use Frescobaldi in KDE 4.1, you need to install the lilypond-kde4 package, that provides icons for the lilypond file type and a KDE service that enables point and click in LilyPond-generated PDFs.

Note that you need not to run the KDE desktop environment: you can run any desktop environment to use Frescobaldi, but you just need to install the base libraries of KDE. Refer to the INSTALL file for installation instructions.

Supported Platforms

Currently, to install Frescobaldi you need a UNIX-like system such as GNU/Linux (a very good choice anyway! :-). But as soon as KDE's Python module (PyKDE4) becomes available on other platforms, Frescobaldi will be able to run on these platforms too.
